The clamour for Tiger Woods memorabilia shows no signs of abating as the score card from his professional debut has already attracted 33 bids, pushing the price to $18,835 (updated) with 2 days of the auction still to go.
The golf score card is up for sale with TheGolfAuction.com in Tampa, Florida, a company who have seen record prices set for Woods' memorabilia over the last 12 months.
The card is super special for two reasons.
- It was Wood's first appearance as a professional golfer.
- He also scored his first ever professional hole-in-one.
The card is from the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open. It shows Woods parred the majority of holes, before an eagle at the par 5 4th hole, a bogie at the 5th, before an ace on the par 3 14th hole.
With 188 yards to the pin Tiger's ball hit the green, skipped twice and rolled into the hole followed by a now familiar fist pump.
The card is signed by Tiger Woods and his playing partner Joe Daley.
It is being sold from the collection of Irv Batten, who served 26 years as the Official PGA Tour scorer - and is claimed to be the only score card that Irv, obviously sensing something great, ever kept.
The card is being sold with a letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.

What makes the lot even more interesting is that the actual ball used by Tiger Woods to hit his Greater Milwaukee hole-in-one sold for $186,000 at Heritage Auctions in November 2022.
The Titleist 1 ball had also been signed by Tiger in black sharpie and was sold with a notarized letter of provenance provided by the vendor Bob Gustin.
At $186,000 it became the most valuable Tiger Woods signed golf ball, eclipsing the $30,328 paid in April 2018 at Green Jacket Auctions, for the ball Tiger used to win the 2005 Masters.
Imagine the scorecard and the ball being reunited with a single owner. That'd be some display piece.
