International Autograph Auctions, based in Marbella, Spain are to auction a Christmas card signed by the now King Charles, and the late Princess Diana, in their 12 January auction, with a €2,000 - €3,000 estimate.
The 1984 Christmas card features a colour portrait of Charles, Diana, and Prince's William and Harry and signed by both Charles and Diana.
Charles has handwritten, and signed:
Aunt Olga, much love from all four of us, Charles
Diana has added her signature 'Diana' in black pen.
The card is addressed to Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark, who later became Princess of Yugoslavia. Following the death of her husband, Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, Princess Olga resided at Kensington Palace in London and attended Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981.
Charles and Diana signed Christmas cards are increasingly rare, and one's with Royal connection recipients are rarely seen, so this is a great item for a Royal Memorabilia collector.
According to the Celebrity Memorabilia Index the value of King Charles' signature has increased 10% to £1,100 in 2022, with Princess Diana's signed photograph up 5.56% to £4,750.
The same auction sees a Camilla, Queen Consort inscribed greetings card, signed by Camilla, available with an estimate of €400 - €600.
Addressed to William Tallon, also known as 'Backstairs Billy', a member of King Charles' staff, Camilla has signed:
William, With best wishes from Camilla P.B.
