Marty, played by Michael J Fox, first stumbled across the hoverboard in the year 2015 as he escaped from Griff Tannen in one of the most talked about scenes from the movie, and the hoverboard then featured heavily in both films, becoming one of the most memorable pieces of movie memorabilia associated with the Back to the Future films.

The hoverboard which measures 71cm in length x 21cm wide, features Mattel logos, a fuzzy pink foot strap and fastening straps, and shows some wear and tear from usage.

This is a foam version of the hoverboard used for scenes where Marty carried the hoverboard - there were also wooden boards made for the films which were used for the more physical shots of Marty riding the hoverboard.

The provenance states that the hoverboard is being sold from the collection of a member of the production team working on the film/s.

The Propstore previously sold a Back to the Future hoverboard signed by actors Michael J Fox and Thomas F Wilson (Biff) for £375,000 in November 2021.

Quite an increase on auction prices of 2014 $30,000 and $100,000 in 2018.
