Described as "a hugely significant property in the history of The Beatles"; the Liverpool house of Julia Lennon, mother of John, is heading to auction on 26th September with bidding starting at £244,000.
Omega Auctions estimate the house at 1 Blomfield Road in Allerston, Liverpool will sell for £250,000 - £300,000.
Consider that 'The Beatles Premium’ as the price is someway above the current local property market, as nearby neighbour 7 Blomfield Road sold for £205,000 in March 2022.
The 3 bedroom semi-detached house is situated on a corner plot with gardens to the side, front and rear.
History states that Julia Lennon lived in the house with her partner John Dykins and John's sisters Julia and Jackie
At the time John lived nearby with his Aunt Mimi and was a frequent visitor to the Blomfield Road house where his first band The Quarrymen practiced.
Paul McCartney also visited and was known to play music in the bathroom with John due to the tiled walls and linoleum floor offering similar acoustics to that of a music studio.
It was also at the Blomfield Road property where John was informed by Police that Julia had been killed in a road accident.
The house was clearly important to him as he took Yoko Ono to see the house when they visited Liverpool in 1970, arriving in a white Rolls Royce.
The house was last sold in March 2015 when it reached £155,000 at a Cavern Club Auction and was purchased by avid Beatles fan Jackie Holmes.
Jackie also bought Ringo's childhood home at Admiral Grove, Toxteth for £70,000 in 2016, paying £15,000 more than the guide price.
It's believed that Jackie also owns, and lives in, a house once belonging to John's first wife Cynthia Lennon.

An early childhood home of Paul McCartney, at 72 Western Avenue in Speke, sold for £150,000 in 2015, while his more famous childhood home at 20 Forthlin Road, is owned by The National Trust and is open to the public.
Interestingly the front door to 20 Forthlin Road once sold for a whopping £5,016 at auction in 2013!
